Seth Mattingly has exhibited professional commitment to the field of music through extensive professional service & engagement. At HSU, Seth has amassed an impressive record of performances by performing in every major performing group available to them, including the Jazz Orchestra, Jazz Combos, Wind Ensemble, Calypso Band, Percussion Ensemble, and University Singers! Seth had participated in and  recorded a total of 27 semesters of contributions to performance ensembles, regularly participating in 3 or 4 performance groups every semester. Seth has become the most accomplished percussionist at HSU in both the jazz and classical idioms. They have been featured on a number of Music Department recitals, including the Music Department's prestigious Honors Recital where the best students on their respective instruments are showcased.
