Retention through Academic Mentoring Program (RAMP) is about supporting mentees and the mentors doing the work. Leslie has demonstrated her dedication by being a source of support, comfort &  compassion as a RAMP Mentor to freshmen and as a Lead Mentor to RAMP mentors as they navigate the demands of being a mentor and student leader. Leslie’s dedication and commitment to the RAMP is her willingness to push us to hold ourselves as a program to the principles we espouse: centering the student experience, ongoing learning and action around anti-racism and systems of oppression, and creating a soft place to land with regard to learning professionalism/student leader balance.
