As director of the Waste Reduction Resource Awareness Program [WRRAP] compost program, Krissi is responsible for coordinating weekly food scraps collections from Housing and department locations across campus, managing operation of the Earth Tub in-vessel composter, distributing completed compost to students, and facilitating education and outreach campaigns to engage students in keeping food scraps out of the landfill.

Krissi serves as an enthusiastic and effective leader and representative for WRRAP. Through her education and outreach efforts (videos, workshops, tabling, etc), Krissi has worked to empower students to keep food scraps out of the landfill. In any class she is in, she is always promoting WRRAP events and positions, and happy to field student questions on campus sustainability activities. From volunteering at CCAT to community events, you can’t miss her because she is smiling, cheerful, and will talk to anybody about sustainability. She is beloved by her peers and faculty alike.
