In the words of her Nominator: 

Klara has been active in sustainability efforts at HSU since she arrived in the fall of 2019. She came to HSU with a background in active sustainability leadership. In 2020, she became co-director of CCAT at HSU. She has maintained the facility, events, and outreach during the challenges of COVID. She is an active member in many clubs and campus activities-- MeCHA, CCAT, SQE, Vegan Club, and Centro del Pueblo. In bringing together these important aspects of her identity and politics with environmental justice, she is exemplary of the definition of ‘sustainability’ that this award is designed to recognize.
