Chih-Wei was nominated for his Exceptional performance in the classroom and unmistakable ability to grasp the material and to draw complex connections across disparate concepts. His commitment to equity of access to clean and renewable energy technologies is also evident through his community involvement: serving as a student director on the HSU Sponsored Programs Foundation board, a member of the Humboldt Energy Independence Fund governing committee, and an active volunteer with GRID Alternatives. Chih-Wei was hired to work as a student researcher at the Schatz Energy Research Center and has been encouraged to adapt his analysis for submission to a peer-reviewed journal.
