Brandi has been a committed volunteer, student leader, student assistant and ambassador at Youth Educational Services, otherwise known as YES. She leads by example with empathy and resilience. Thus far, Brandi has contributed 240 volunteer hours and 950 student staff hours at Y.E.S. Brandi has been a volunteer Co-Director of the ART program, Program Consultant who supports the directors, and the Lead Program Consultant at Y.E.S. This is the highest student leadership role at our student-led center.

Brandi helped oversee a center-wide program review of Y.E.S through organizational metrics, community partner feedback, and volunteer trends from the past five years. Brand made thoughtful recommendations for program changes, taking into consideration the current limitations and opportunities for growth given Covid-19 implications. Brandi spearheaded revising a mission statement for the Hand-in-Hand program and helped “retire” programs that were no longer effective/needed so Y.E.S. could focus volunteer capacity to other areas. Brandi goes above and beyond her duties, is an unwavering advocate for fellow students, and has made our programs more effective.Congratulations Brandi!
