Andy began his involvement at Y.E.S. [Youth Educational Services] by volunteering for the Environmental Education program. The Environmental Education program provides local children and youth with resources to explore nature and environmental issues through hands-on activities, crafts and workshops.  After three consecutive semesters as a volunteer, Andy was selected for the Volunteer Director of Environmental Education Program. As the Director for the EE program, Andy is responsible for recruiting, training, and supporting university volunteers. 

For the past two years, Andy has demonstrated flexibility, innovation and mature leadership as Y.E.S. pivoted to virtual programming due to Covid-19 restrictions. Andy helped EE adapt to remote volunteering and coordinated the development of bi-weekly academic enrichment packets for youth at the Jefferson Community Center.  His work ethic is complemented by his curious mind, high standards and amiable personality. Andy is a true servant leader, he is motivated by the growth and well-being of the people and the communities to which he belongs.
